Having a great bathroom makes a happy home...
Does having a great bathroom make a happy home? The respondents to a UK survey seemed to think so, they also shared their bathroom frustrations too.
What are your bathroom frustrations?
A home survey commissioned by a UK retailer has found the average British adult will spend a total of 416 days of their life in the bathroom, as well as uncovering what Brits find frustrating when it comes to bathrooms.
The survey - which questioned 2,000 UK adults - found 70% of us find sharing a bathroom "frustrating", with 17% getting irritated with other household members "hogging the room". One in six added that they have hidden in the bathroom "to get some peace and quiet".
A third said their top pet peeve was finding that the toilet roll hasn't been replaced, while a fifth said they can't stand finding hair left down the plug hole. The survey also found that the most in-demand time for bathrooms is 8am when households get ready for the day.
More than half of those questioned said they believe having a great bathroom is "key" to feeling happy in their home. Close to a third added that updating their bathroom would be "more impactful on their home happiness" than any other home improvement project.
Research shows 30% of us are dissatisfied with how our bathrooms work for us, yet the average homeowner hasn't spruced up their bathroom in five years.
